Triple Triad Time!

What an alliterative title.

This is the cover image for an upcoming fanfic as I finally gave writing a try and I was advised to have something to illustrate it in order to grab people's attention. Come to think of it, this drawing is a lot like Final Fantasy VIII itself: when I look at the details individually, I find plenty of things I can nitpick but when I step back and look at the big picture, I am very happy with it.

I don't colour my sketches very often, let alone do complex shading like that (well, complex by my standards) so I am pretty proud with how it turned out. Of course, it's nowhere near as well done as some artists I can name on DA but for someone who isn't familiar with this sort of stuff, I think I did pretty good. Squall does have a pretty bad case of yaoi hands though. Oh well, I'm sure the fangirls will love it.
